Blueberries!

This morning we all got up bright and early (5:30 am!) and headed out to pick blueberries! The blueberry farm is an hour away, and we wanted to beat the heat. We got there at 7:15 and picked until 10 am, and came home with over 17 pounds of blueberries!! And the price is great - only $1.35/pound, for fresh picked, locally grown berries. Yum!

It was good we got there early, because by the time we left the sun and the crowd had come out in full force. We had such a wonderful time enjoying the cool stillness of the early morning with each other, delighting in gathering God's delicious blessings. Here's a slideshow of the morning!

I laughed, I cried. . .

OK, not really, but I did giggle and saw "Awwww" several times at your slideshow! Look at you and your berry pickin' crew! How fun! And what a great price for blueberries. I think--nope--I KNOW that it would not be on the top of my "Hope To Do" list to get up with my family of four boys and go berry picking at 5 stinking 30 in the morning! Go you!

Erin,

When you said you were going as soon as you got up...I forgot that meant at the crack of dawn!!!! LOL :-) It is good to go early to beat the heat and crowd, though!

I want to plan a trip soon!
