I've made it no secret that I'm a huge fan of Tenth Avenue North... this is one of their new songs, and it's just another one I can't resist!
Over the past few years, the Lord has taught me some hard, hard lessons about forgiveness - what it looks like from Him, and especially what it looks like from me toward others. It has not been easy, and this has so often been my heart's cry!
Last week, I posted a song called "Beloved" by Tenth Avenue North... here is a video of the lead singer explaining the song and the lyrics. As the Passover Season approaches, I found this timely!
God's love is so mind-boggling to me - it is so awe-inspiring, that He, the creator of all things, the One who gives life and breath, who knows every single detail about everything! HE! He loves me and calls me His bride. He loves me enough to call me while still in my sin, to bring me up out of my sin, to give me LIFE! filled with His presence and forgiveness. Not because I was good enough to deserve it, or do all the right things to keep it... no!! Because that is who He is... He is Love.
Just... wow.
May you find joy and forgiveness in His love today!
I don't think there's a song by Tenth Avenue North that I don't like! Here's one that isn't played on the radio in my area, but it comes up on my Pandora station a lot. It's beautiful!
I've mentioned a few times that Disc Golf is one of the family activities we participate in. Let me clarify - it's an activity that Michael and the boys do. I don't. It's a bit hard to play while wearing a baby, nursing, or pregnant, so that leaves me out most of the time. However, it really is a great family sport! All ages can participate, and it's really inexpensive.
Our two oldest boys have participated in several leagues and one tournament, and are quickly making a name for themselves among the local disc golf crowd. The littler kids are up-and-coming - even Judah can toss a disc pretty well! We have a practice basket in the back yard, and the kids spend many afternoons out there "putting" around! It's a slight obsession among a few of us... to say the least! I won't name names, though.
What is Disc Golf, you ask? Let me share this video! It's pretty informative, but I like it best because there are some good scenes of Michael, Isaac and Ezra playing. :-D
See if you can spot them - Michael wears a red hat, has a beard, and his typical "disc golf" outfit is a blue shirt with tan shorts. Isaac and Ezra are the only non-adults shown playing, so they're easy to spot. Sometimes Joel, Nathan, and Judah make appearances, too, but you've got to be on the look out for them!

Last week, we took the kids to see Paul Wilbur in concert. He is a Messianic Jewish singer, and his songs are full of worship and energy! It was a wonderful night with lots of dancing and rejoicing in the Lord. Here is one of the slow ones he played - it's one of our favorites! So beautiful, and such a reminder of His unfathomable love.

I love this song. Like, really, really love this song. I love the truth it tells, so beautifully! This song expresses everything I am grateful for, and the reason I am living today. What incredible, awesome freedom there is in the gospel... I don't think I can even express how changed my life - not just my life, but my heart - is because of Him. Jesus is everything to me.
Did you know that Kris Kristofferson isn't only an actor? He actually is a song writer, and singer, too! (Did you even know who Kris Kristofferson is? lol!) Michael and I love his music and his voice, and this song is especially beautiful. He wrote it, and it has been performed by Johnny Cash, Elvis,the Gaither Vocal Band, and probably others, but I think his original version is the best of all. It's very raw and real. The video isn't much, but listen anyway! Enjoy!

Do you have two minutes of time to spare to watch some extreme cuteness in action? I caught Judah dancing while eating a snack the other day and couldn't resist the video opportunity! I especially love the 20 second mark when he starts his "interpretive" portion, and then at the end when big brother Isaac joins in!

I came across this song and video at Divine Calling, and fell in love with it! Its like he's singing our song... after almost 12 years of marriage, Michael and I have definitely danced through our share of minefields - some self-imposed, some just a part of life. But through it all, God's promises have kept us together, and made us stronger than ever. I am so thankful for my marriage!

This family has a 6 year old little girl, named Daisy, who is suffering with cancer. She just underwent her second surgery to remove a tumor that regrew. Please pray for this family! My heart breaks for their pain. You can find updates on http://prayfordaisy.com/

I am the blessed wife of Michael, a happy homeschooling mama to 7 energetic boys and one sweet girl, and an ever-growing and learning child of God, adopted into His family through His son, Jesus Christ! I am blessed beyond anything I could have ever imagined, and my heart overflows with gratitude for my Lord and Savior.
