Today the boys and I spent almost an hour at our local Yarn Shop, exploring textures and colors galore! I finally left with some super soft and plush Bulky Blue Sky Alpaca yarn... yum! We got home and got out the "equipment" and Isaac and Ezra wound perfect balls of yarn.
Alas, when I explored my needle collection, I discovered that I did not have the size my pattern is requesting... so when Nathan wakes up, we'll be off to JoAnn's for some needles... and then the fun will begin! My hands are itching to get started, I can't wait!

I'm starting big - an afghan, hopefully! And then baby stuff, naturally :-)
Wow, I have never seen a contraption like that used to make yarn-balls. I have always just wrapped it around my fingers until it was big enough to hold the shape!
