As with every pregnancy, this one has differences from the rest. I did not feel this baby move until 17 weeks, which is late, for me. I now feel movement regularly, but not strongly and actively, just little tickles here and there. I have gained very little weight, and while I am officially in maternity clothes, the "bump" is still on the small side. I don't offer that as a complaint, though, because I know I have 4 more months to GROW! lol! I just feel like this baby is a small one... my sentiments might change come early next year, though. The only thing that really reminds me that I'm pregnant on a regular basis is the fact that I'm ready to fall asleep by 9 pm every night!
Can I take a minute to talk about food? For the first 3.5 months, there was hardly ANYTHING I could eat. Slowly but surely, that has been changing, which I'm very thankful for. Most recently, I have started enjoying peanut butter again. Peanut butter is usually a main staple in my diet, but I had major aversions to it during my first trimester. Just this past week did I start craving it again, and now I can eat it with no problem. I know there are warnings about no peanut butter during pregnancy... but I have 4 children, all of whose pregnancies I consumed vast amounts of peanut butter through, and only one is actually allergic to peanuts (and has many other food allergies, as well, so its not specifically peanuts). For what its worth, during my pregnancy with Isaac I ate tuna fish and soy milkshakes almost every day of his pregnancy, and we all know the warnings about those, too - and he is healthy and smart. So, warnings are good to heed, but not necessarily law to live by ;-) Its a blessing to be able to enjoy full, delicious meals again!!

Congrats on the baby! Did you ever find that there is any correlation to the stuff you craved and the stuff your kids love or art allergic to? I craved Crunch bars and cranberry juice with my teen. She loves chocolate but is allergic to cranberries. The little one I couldn't eat meat at all but she love meat so no problem there.
I'm so glad to hear that things are progressing well with Baby. And YAY on being able to eat again! I've never had troubles eating during pregnancy...which is why I gain 50 pounds each time. UGH!
yeah for the update!! So you didn't accidentally get a peek at baby's sex? I mean 5th time around you have to have a feeling... right???? :D
I just don't know how you can stand to wait! I am glad things seem to be going well. A lady I work with has a 4 year old who has asthma, and is allergic to seafood and shellfish and peanuts and she said that they had told her to get lots of protein while pregnant so she ate TONS of all those things. I had never heard of your baby being allergic to things you eat a lot of during pregnancy before that! I had also never heard the tuna or peanut rule. I guess they wait until you are pregnant and there's no turning back to roll out the 10-foot long list of things you can't have! haha
Wow! I am totally relating to your post (I'm 15 weeks and some days.)regarding everything--the food issues and the weight gain--except I can only wait 20 weeks for the surprise. ;-) I admire people who don't, but if there's a way, I want to know. LOL
I have been enjoying reading through your posts and seeing the pictures of your beautiful family! And I just had to stop and say congratulations on your pregnancy! And hooray for being able to eat peanut butter! :)
Thanks for stopping by my blog! It is always such a joy to meet someone new!
Blessings!
