One of my favorite blogs, holy experience, hosts a Gratitude Community, which hosts "Multitude Monday". The goal is to slowly and steadily compile a list of 1,000 (and more!) things that I am thankful for. A quote that I have as my desktop background is "The heart that is constantly overflowing with gratitude will be safe from those attacks of resentfulness and gloom that bother so many persons" (A.W. Tozer). It is something I try to keep in mind always, as it is all too easy to fall into the pattern and habit of complaining, or just not recognizing the incredible blessings I am surrounded by.
Here are my meager beginnings.
1. Folding Michael's laundry
2. A child's imagination
3. Brothers giggling as they work together
4. Judah's hiccup-laugh
5. Fall breezes
6. Love notes from a son
7. Restored relationships
8. A warm bed on cool mornings
9. Friends, old and new
10. A visit from Grandpa
Join in with your own thoughts of thankfulness!
